This is a collection of black and white photos that I have hand-painted with oils. These landscapes are beautiful and sacred places I have discovered in my travels. While the reality is somewhat altered, I have tried to capture the “spirit of the place” hence the title. The sizes vary but tend to be large, so that the viewer can “step into” the landscape and be present (please see installations). I hope these images convey a sense of inner peace and beauty.
